Spore works3/6/2023 You're not really supposed to talk about vendors in mush cult, and certainly not mention using a specific company's spores for anything beyond microscopy. Oh yeah, by the way, I'm no mod or anything, but this all seems to come pretty close to breaking the rules. And yet, I've also heard people from other parts of the country describe my initial definition of a rip-off as being "robbed." Which typically implies, to me, some degree of force or subterfuge beyond just taking the money and bailing. Were I inclined to believe that Sporeworks had stolen money from my account in a totally separate and unauthorized transaction, I believe I'd be most likely to describe that as them stealing from me, or robbing me of money. I'm starting to realize that there are regional and perhaps generational differences in how this phrase is used. I gradually noticed a bleed-over, via the phrase "getting ripped off," into the idea of receiving less than what was promised, or an item of lesser value than agreed upon, or nothing at all. This also got me thinking about the word "rip-off." In the time and place I grew up, it tended to denote an overpriced thing, basically synonymous with price gauging. Is there some way a hacker can get a payout before that happens? Or is this whole model of criminality based on the few rich/distracted people out there who never catch the charges in time? People without a lot of money are generally going to notice some shit like this and get the charges reversed. What I find fascinating is the whole chargeback process. Meanwhile, the rest of us are out here playing the odds, whether we realize it or not.Įither that, or we're all in on it here, creating this whole elaborate website and message board just to string folks like OP along. These motherfuckers who do this shit are on the grind full-time, looking for ways to exploit cracks in the system. Or if it did, it's some security breach that they had nothing to do with. Yeah, I find it extremely unlikely that this had anything to do with the Sporeworks transaction. Sporeworks did nothing but say "this isn't our fault, our employees don't need to do this they make lots of money, and we couldn't possibly be responsible because we delete your info right after processing" □ My bank refunded me as soon as it posted, changed my card #, and I learned a valuable lesson. They responded again but really couldn't tell me anything aside from the fact that they cancelled the A-holes order in time to prevent said A-hole from benefiting. "hope the individual who stole my info gets explosive diarrhea and subsequent hemorrhoids." Not dead yall still here! I got an email back from seatgeeks saying they'd look into it further etc. Will update weather or not they make it "right" Owner of The Spore Works is supposed to be calling me. called my bank, they can't do anything until it posts tomorrow. I do not give out my card info willie nilly, and very recently got a new card number so I'm 100% sure the dousche bag customer service Ahole stole my info. By 11:30 AM a charge for $562 had been made on my card at a site called. They have you place order online then call to give payment info over the phone. Decided to branch out and try The Spore works. Tried some spores from and was VERY happy with them.
